Experience the Gunpla boom of the 1980s using a modern model kit!

During the early 1980s, at the height of what became known as the Gunpla boom, many modellers built their kits around the idea of, “What if mobile suits really existed?”

Around the time the theatrical film trilogy was released, Kunio Okawara illustrated mobile suits with military inspired colour schemes and markings. Many modellers adopted this approach as a way of giving their Gunpla a more realistic appearance, and it gradually became an established finishing style.

The 1/100 Real Type MS series was later released, and the concept of “realism” has continued to be explored by modellers in many different ways ever since.

For this release, the tones of the original bright colours have been subdued and the overall colour balance has been adjusted so that the atmosphere of the Real Type Colour schemes popular with modellers at the time can be enjoyed more easily.

The included decals are also designed in the style of markings that were popular during that period.

For those who remember the era, adding a little silver paint chipping, often known as hagechoro, may bring back even more nostalgia.

From Mobile Suit Gundam MSV, this HGUC release presents a 21st century interpretation of the Real Type Colour scheme produced by Meijin Kawaguchi.

The model uses subdued moulded colours and includes water transfer decals that recreate the distinctive markings of the Real Type series.

It is also presented in a full colour package inspired by classic MSV designs.

Subdued moulded colours are used throughout the kit.

Compared with the standard release, which uses brighter colours based on the original animated design, this version offers a significantly different and more military inspired appearance.

Water transfer decals recreating the characteristic Real Type series markings are included.

The decal sheet includes line markings, unit numbers and caution markings, creating the distinctive appearance associated with classic MSV kits.

The base kit uses the renewed REVIVE HGUC design with improved articulation.

This release is based on the updated HGUC kit originally released in 2015.

Presented in a full colour package inspired by classic MSV designs.

The package recreates the atmosphere of the 1/100 MSV model kit boxes released during the 1980s, using a photo based digital diorama.

Newly moulded Spray Missile Launchers are included for both shoulders.

Each launcher carries 12 missiles and is reproduced with rich mechanical detailing.
