The RX-78-2 Gundam in a one-off commemorative colour scheme as the official PR ambassador of the Japan Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai. Mecha designer Kunio Ōkawara, who designed the original RX-78-2 in 1979, drew the special palette in place of the usual Earth Federation tricolour.

From October 2021, the 2020 Dubai International Exposition opened in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with 192 participating countries, and Gundam was selected as the PR ambassador for the Japan Pavilion. Rather than the usual tricolour, the colour scheme is a commemorative livery for the Dubai Expo, designed by Kunio Ōkawara, Japan's first mechanical designer for animated works and the man behind countless mobile suits. The kit consolidates the special scheme into a 1/144 scale Gunpla with new moulds and stickers exclusive to this release.

Set contents: HG-grade RX-78-2 frame with Expo Dubai colour scheme, beam rifle, shield, beam sabres, commemorative stickers, instruction manual.
